Something Blog-worthy

We bought a house...well, a townhouse anyway! And we're so excited. So I'm finally blogging even though I'm pretty sure no one reads this anymore. We are in the process of moving, but after we get all settled and my mom helps me decorate I will post some pictures. I am SO SO SO excited.

On another note, I just heard this song on the radio for the second time, and for the second time it made me cry like a little baby. I don't know if anyone has heard the song "Hurry Home" by Jason Michael Carroll. At first I thought it was just a copy cat of the "Austin" song, what with the answering machine and all. But then I realized it was about a dad leaving this message for his daughter that has run away. Anyway, it made me cry. Not that I've ever run away and had my dad sing a message to me on the answering machine...haha, kind-of a funny picture. But I am grateful for my parents and for how much they love me. I am also grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that we have a Heavenly Father who is waiting for all of us to come home. Anyway, I know I'm a sap, but there it is. I bet if anyone is reading this they are thankful I hardly ever blog!

Missionary Work

That is the subject of the talks we are giving in church tomorrow. Don't worry, I'm not procrastinating right now. I'm finished and now I have been messing around on the internet for awhile and for some reason I feel like blogging. I'm just not tired, which is so not typical of me at this time at night.

Let's see, what has happened lately? We went and looked at some houses today. Yeah, we are thinking about buying. It's pretty fun, but it also wore us out. We didn't find anything we are in love with today, but we're not really in any big hurry.

Jacob is just schooling and working and making me laugh all the time. Haha, the other day after I had organized our closet (well, some at least, it still needs some work) Jacob grabbed a pair of his pants off of his pile and went to school. He has class every day at 7:30 in the morning so he leaves pretty early. Anyway, this day I was working so I was already gone. If only I had been there. On the way to school Jacob was thinking about how comfortable his pants were. He went to Institute and some of his other classes, until finally when he happened to go to the bathroom, he noticed that he was wearing a VERY old pair of pants with a rip in the back from the pocket and down the leg. And he had been walking around in them all day. No wonder they were so comfortable!!! He was pretty embarrassed, but on the bright side now he knows why all the girls were hitting on him that day...who could resist that butt?

Other than that, we're about the same. My dad called the other day and said that his mare had foaled and since it was a filly i get it. He said I cursed him cuz if it was a colt he was going to keep it. I don't think it was a curse; I think the Lord just knows the blessings that my dad gets from being such a generous guy. Anyway, I'm super excited about it. I would have gone home to see it this weekend but, as I have already said, we have to talk in church. Bummer. And that's all for now...

Spring Break

Hello everyone as you know there has been a high demand for me to write in this blog and now everyone will find out why I do not write on this thing. I know it has been awhile since we have posted anything but that is my fault and Heidi had nothing to do with it. This is our spring break review and we will have more coming your way.

Our trip to Las Vegas, Logan, and Wyoming was awesome. It was so good to be able to visit everyone and get to see so many beautiful places. Grandpa South’s Lumber mill was really awesome to see and Grandma’s cooking was exceptionally good.
The drive from Evanston to Logan was very beautiful I really liked Bear Lake.

Our trip started on Friday where we stayed the night in Las Vegas which was very short all we did was eat and watch the fountain show at the Bellagio. We got up Saturday morning and got ready to leave and go to the St. George temple with Justin and Sherry when Justin called and asked us when we were leaving and it turns out Nevada has a different time zone than Utah if you were wondering. So that shot those plans to go to the temple with them but we still got to see them and Koy who is quite the talker.

We then we went to Evanston and stayed the night with Grandma and Grandpa. The next day we got to go to church with the South’s and we eat before heading out to Logan. I had never been to Logan before so I was impressed with how beautiful it was. It was fun to see Hilary and Sheena and we also got to see one of my old companions. We also got to see a foot of snow while we were there which was a nice change of scenery.

After our short visit we headed back to Wyoming and spent the rest of the time in Wyoming where I got the chance to meet all of Heidi’s family in Wyoming . They were all very nice and now I will know who Heidi is talking about now instead of just hearing names which will be nice.

On Wednesday we had to come back so Heidi could work on Thursday and we could return back to our wonderful lives. That is what happened for spring break and we have a lot more stuff to post about later. See you then.

Hilary says I need to post

So here I am. There is nothing too exciting going on. Jacob gave me a wedding band the other day. When we got married I told him I didn't want one, but then he gave me his grandma's old wedding band. It was yellow gold so he had it dipped in white gold. I really love it. I think it's awesome that it used to be his grandma's. Anyway, we also went out to eat at the melting pot for valentine's day. Fondue for every course. It was really great, and dessert was the best part.

So I am still getting ready to run a marathon...I think I am going to do like my little sister and do a half marathon first. There is one in Prescott in May, and I would do the whole thing but supposedly it is one of the hardest ones in the country and I'd rather make sure I can do a half one first. Then I think later I will do the Tucson marathon. If anyone would like to join me in any of these I would love that. I'm trying to get Jake to do it, but he's not the biggest fan of running. I just don't want to run the races by myself. Anyway, let me know. It's basically the only new year's resolution I made, so I guess I'd better do it.

Other than that things have been about the same. Jake is going to school, I'm working at the hospital and we are getting used to married life. So Hilary, here is your post. I hope it is everything you hoped it would be.

So I promised Hilary that I would post some of my wedding pictures so here I go. Good job Mike and Ash, they look pretty good considering what you guys had to work with! Anyway, if anyone cares at all, you can tell me which one of the two of us that you like the best because I need to put a big one up in our apartment.

I don't normally like to put pictures of just myself up, but Mike shot a really cool picture with the sun and stuff so I wanted everyone to see it. Anyway, here they are. Thanks Mike and Ash, thanks Hilary for doing my hair and make-up, and thanks mom for being there to pay attention to the details. You are all the best!

The Sexy Bodds

Hi everyone!

Finally Jake and I have a blog. We also have Rockband and Jacob named our band the Sexy Bodds. I thought it worked great for our blog too. Anyway, we'll post about our wonderful lives. Jacob has promised to post too because I don't want to be the only one to write stuff. He's more exciting than me, too.
